Food Starter

This is my first "post" and I should explain that I started a small food business with my wife a few years ago. Hence, the significance of Food Starter ! I have worked and pioneered many brands and channels of distribution for specialty foods since 1981. So, I am not exactly a Food Beginner but specialty foods have a sense of newness in how and where they can be sold. In some cases the new product is made from an old family recipe. We also see products made for generations from crops grown and harvested in local communities and consumed in the growing region. These products become new to the marketplace simply by being made available outside of the producing area. I find it strange to consider the big brands like a Coca Cola are truly global and yet how many truly unique, nutritious and tasty products are yet to be discovered and introduced to a broader market. Like all small business owners my life is my work and somehow the term entrepreneur sounded rather too glamerous and risky. My guess is many years from now I will still be a Food Starter.
